The Ohio Cornhole Tour is set to kick-off in January 2012 with a focus on Northern Ohio. The tour will go to bars, restaurants, clubs or any other location that is interested in hosting a cornhole event at NO cost to them! The Ohio Cornhole Tour will bring all of the necessary equipment to the location and run the event in its entirety. We will also work with each location to determine when the best day and time would be to hold an event. Events can be indoors or outdoors and on weekdays or weekends. Events can be used as a fundraiser or as a qualifier for the Ohio Cornhole Tour Championships. Qualifying events will feature a blind draw format to increase the chances that everyone has a chance to at least win some games in the tournament by having a chance to be paired with a good partner.
The tour will run through winter, spring and summer and finish with the Ohio Cornhole Tour Championships in the Fall of 2012 (date and location TBD). There are ONLY two ways to qualify to play in the Championships event. The easiest way to qualify is by playing in a qualifying event and finishing in first place (although for larger events the top 2 or 3 teams could also qualify). The second way is to be one of the top 8 players in the rankings at the end of the qualifying season and you will qualify for the Championships event. Everyone that qualifies for the Championships plays for FREE and as more and more qualifying tournaments are held the Championship pot will grow.
The tour will also feature the Ohio Cornhole Tour Money Shot. At each event we will sell raffle tickets to anyone participating in the tournament. Then during the tournament we will take a short break to draw the lucky winner who will step up (without warming up) and pitch 4 bags. The more bags the person makes, the more they win out of the money shot pot. Make all 4 bags and you win the entire pot! For full details on the money shot you can go here.
